C-Dot has developed state of the art Next Generation Network (NGN)

Under Government of India initiative “Make in India”, C-DoT has developed state-of-the-art Next Generation Network (NGN) compliant to IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS).

C-DoT NGN enables BSNL to build a packet network capable of providing new services where service related functions are independent of underlying transport technologies. This will reduce infrastructure cost and reduce energy consumption. Next Generation Network Value Added Services like all India IP-Centrex and Multi Media Video Conference (MMVC) can be extended to all BSNL Urban and Rural Subscribers presently served by C-DoT exchanges at every nook and comer of India. Rural Customers will get all Next Generation value added services like Urban Customers.

The C-DoT MAX Next Generation Core and Disaster Recovery Network Operations Centre (NOC) deployed at Bengaluru shall be primarily catering to Karnataka and Kerala Telecom Circle Subscribers.

, All the 3.5 Iakhs PSTN customers of Karnataka and 4.3 Lakhs PSTN customers of Kerala shall be migrated into this network in phased .manner over a period of next 3 months. BSNL is building this network at a cost of 10.5 Crores which shall facilitate effective utilization of network resources and in reduction of infrastructure maintenance cost.
